First of the year, and normal service resumed....almost. Good FP for Chaz RAZGATLIOGLU DAVIES GERLOFF LOWES REA RINALDI REDDING BAUTISTA SYKES HASLAM VAN DER MARK BASSANI RABAT FOLGER NOZANE LAVERTY LOCATELLI PONSSON VINALES MAHIAS MERCADO CRESSON CAVALIER
Let's hope Scott Redding can go one step better this season as i'm bored with looking at green bikes.
He has a couple of really good guys coming up that I think can give him a good run so even though he's bloody good, I'm not sure he'll have it as easy as he has in the past. Hope so anyway
It's cut throat racing and you'll need your A game from square one or the pressures will build & mistakes are made, just close racing with six odd guys for the title would be nice up to the wire.
Hope your right. Would love a Ducati and Redding title win. JR is a victim of his own success. He has made wsbk boring Much prefer BSB and Motogp these days and used to be huge wsbk fan.
Let's make no mistake here, extraordinary individuals arrive on the scene every now and then and excel in their chosen sport & JR is that person.
Well even restricting his revs does nothing how demoralising for Redding .Rea just pissed off easy as ..Wsbk must be dreading another year of this non competition. Rea deserves a moto gp ride easily capable
I've just seen the last lap and what a way to start your season with a win, the rest need to raise their game or they'll be toast.
They aren’t restricted tho, they simply didn’t allow the cheat Kawasaki were trying to implement. Another borefest of races. Only the R3 ones worth watching, and booth-Amos robbed of a victory
Race 3 at least had some action, albeit only because Rae was run off track so he couldn’t get away from the rest. Redding would have won, given his bold tyre choice, but at least there were a few laps where a couple of overtakes were made
My concerns are whether Rea has something written down in his contact that his teammate Lowes's not allowed to overtake him all season.
What a yawn fest. Once again, there is no-one that can match JR on the Kawasaki built for him. Either Ducati or Redding made appalling tyre choices in the first 2 races and finally took a risk that turned out to be inspired for the final race. Gerloff is still the same wild, undisciplined twat he was last year, the BMW looks an improvement from last year but still eats tyres, Toprak needs to calm down and I have no idea why Haslam and Bautista are still riding for Honda. As for Chaz, I just despair. I'll not be bothering with WSBK for the rest of the season. Andy
Lowes isn't consistent enough or good enough to compete with JR and anyway, IMO, there is little chance they are competing on a level playing field. Andy
Could be worse, could be F1. Only good bit is the first lap then skip to the end. BSB soon and that'll be bloody good! Last year was brilliant.
The only good things about A) F1 was seeing a Gulf Liveried McLaren on the podium (but the race was boring, didn't watch it) B) Redding/ Ducati finally winning at Aragon C) JR having to settle for 2nd place D) Chaz Davies beating Rinaldi.
