1199 Gps Connection?

  1. I’ve looked under the left fairing panel for a connection for my SatNav, but cannot see anything like that there. Other posts suggest the Gen 2 Panigale R has a blanked-off connector. Any info on location would be appreciated.

  2. I've not managed to find an unused connection on my FE.
Reading other posts it sounds like people take a feed off of the connector used for the GPS (not satnav) fitted to some bikes.

The alternative is to use the spare position in the fuse box, taking its feed from one of the other switched outputs, which is what I intend to do when I have time.

  3. Thanks. Will try this.

  4. My 1299 gps connector is under the headlight fairing, not the left hand fairing.

  5. Sonic, I think your right, as that is where the gps module is on my bike.
People tap into the switched power feed of this to supply the sat-nav.
I found a link somewhere of what type the connector and crimps are (might be on Ducati.ms) so a lead can be made and it becomes a simple plug and play job.
I decided not to in the end, going for using the spare way in the fuse box instead.
