got a suspicion mines going to wake the dead with this alpha T can on it … What can have you got on yours? Is it ridiculous ?
I've got an arrow. Not too bad, passes noise testing at Snetterton, and done a quite day at Donington, although my mate with the same set up had to put a baffle in
I was going to start looking at suspension, have you used mupo before? Ill be interested to see what you think
i have mate yes, this is a new model of Mupo to me though and I’ve only gone for the shock and springs for the front. the factory evo shock I’ve got is supposed to be very similar to the ohlins unit in terms of feel
I hate that Dave Mupo bloke, he’s come up to me about 5 different times on trackdays telling me how shit ohlins are and how everyone who sets suspension up are wrong apart from him. Then when I ask him to set my bike up he’s not interested. He’s also pretty poor on track from what I saw at Cadwell. Maybe he’s better if you buy stuff off him but I’d rather crash my bike than spend money with him!
That's the chap, couldn't remember the name when I posted. Although it looks like @JoePeps has some strong views
He is the businessman and not a racer. That's pretty much says it all. Good luck getting free stuff from Ohlins people if they don't think you will buy from them. I'm paying him for support and it's excellent. Probably the best I ever had.
My point is he randomly comes to me out of the blue to tell me how shit everyone else is compared to him, but then won’t take my money to set my bike up to prove it. I didn’t ask him to do anything for free or give him any signs I wanted to buy anything from him! I’m not saying he doesn’t know what he’s talking about but he has no professionalism whatsoever and is downright rude.
Anyway It’ll be nice to ride the bike in a more track like arrangement. I’m looking to book some time for me to dial it and even more so ME in as I’m very rusty these days having not really ridden a great deal for myself or indeed at any kind of pace since the very beginning of 2020. that’s the problem with coaching, you give yourself to other people but forget to develop yourself. I really enjoy it, but it’s slowed me down loads if you see a rust storm on the horizon, you know who’s in town
Sorry didn’t mean to derail the thread! Im sure it’ll be a different bike with them fitted, do you think you’ll go back to normal trackdays as well as coaching?
