Other than Cookster telling me it was a total write off and he would not be allowed to let me ride it home.
Track bike brake check and clean this morning. Two days in. How many days should I expect from a set of Brembo SC pads anyone?
How many days do you get? I reckon 4-5 days looking at them after 2. But I know they are pretty thin to start with so could well be wrong.
Brembo have changed the designation of the SC, it’s now called the SR. Same pad as far as I can tell, does the same job in my Multistrada so far. Andy
The Scrambler has been suffering with a sloooow leak from the back tyre. Set it, check after a day or two and it’s fine. Leave two or three weeks and it’s down to 20psi. Got the chaps at Micheldever to strip the tyre off the rim to have a look but bit the bullet and got it replaced. I’d forgotten what a ball ache removing a Scrambler rear wheel was, takes far too long. Whilst I was out that way, popped into MR and collected an Oberon bar end mirror for the SuperSport. The OE mirrors are probably the worst I’ve come across, says the owner of a 748, 1098 and Panigale It’s a neat, little solution. Andy
Well today I have cleaned and polished the Scrambler and started up the V2 as I’ve not been on it for about 4 weeks, though I’m planning on riding it over the weekend This evening I went across the road to look at my neighbour, Dan’s new KTM 1290R. Apparently he sold his 20 plate Aprilia RSV4 Factory for the same money he bought it for last April. Yesterday he sold his Honda Grom for £2300 which was just £400 less than he paid for it new back in 2015. Seems that “used” prices are berserk at the moment as demand is outstripping supply for a change.
Sold the 999 bip, normally selling on ebay attracts rent a twat, this guy was brilliant, turned up on time, paid without a word, put it in his van and left. Off down the south coast now, can't wait.
