Did you not stop at Axbridge again? The locals were waiting to give you a warm welcome and a lovely evening....
you can do a repair to get you home etc but I’m told you can’t continue to use it as it’s a high speed rating tyre and insurance will not cover you, but I’m going to do some research and see if I’m allowed to get a professional repair that is acceptable
Makes for interesting reading https://motorcycleinfo.co.uk/motorcycle-tyre-tire-puncture-repair-advice-index44e6/ Michelin according to the above state their z rated tyre can be repaired. Talk to Michelin customer services or/and seek a second opinion.
Too much shit to list going on , but hey ho, flies on the helmet today and cheddar and Brie for supper so all is good.
Next on the agenda will be a Sunday morning trundle across to Aber via the B roads from Chepstow through Usk
I added Fabsil Gold to my Rokkers to make them totally waterproof (though probably not in a long torrential downpour). Best bike trousers ever.
I’m in a right moody today as I’ve been working all sodding day! And again tomorrow although I might just blow it out and take the bike out! Hmmm! Decisions Decisions!!!
haha! I’m just trying to work out if I can knock a wall out, plaster a kitchen and tile a floor by about 11am so I can get out on the bike! Might be tight!!!
My mate had a tyre puncture on his Tuono tyre fitter PX’d his old tyre against a replacement. They can be repaired, maybe some fitters are just uneasy doing so in these ever litigious times. I had a Paso early 90’s rear had a temporary repair plug unknown to me in my ignorance, did about 10k on it, tyre fitter pointed it out to me when fitting a new tyre.
Had many a plug fitted to my works van over the years with no problems. Why would a tyre emporium think it’s ok for a plug be fitted to a car/van but not to a bike ?
Woke up to a misty morning for the DOCGB WY ride out around the Peak District. However by 9am it was starting to burn off (there’s not a cloud in the sky now). 18 of us, comprising a couple of Panigale V4 SPS’s, Panigale V4S’s, Panigale V2’s (including me), couple of Multistrada, couple of Monsters and a desert sled, started from the Ducatistore, Sale and headed off doing the following loop for a couple/three hours Pace was brisk and enjoyable Got home about 11.45am just as the roads were getting really busy with holiday traffic and tourists. Thoroughly enjoyed it Think I’ll do it again tomorrow with my neighbour Dan on his new KTM 1290 beast thing!
