  4. Snetterton May 23rd.

First proper trackday (managed Donington with @Advikaz in early May but wasn't well so that don't count!!) in quite a few years (8!!) and where i actually improved session on session. I'm miles off the pace i use to run but i'm fatter and older so that's my excuse!!

  10. Big thanks to Andy Hayton for capturing this wobbly first time out at Portimao after eight months of frustration.

Eventually cracked some 2:02s, but more work to do if we ever get back there.

  11. What a great track need to get back there soon

  12. Few videos of Donny on weds if anyone’s bored, me and then my mate following. Managed a new PB of 1.43.5 but plenty of consistent 44’s so getting there slowly. Rear end was all over the place for some reason.

  13. Nice one Joe.

going well mate. 1:43 on a trackday is not bad at all.

the front looks fidgety, perhaps raise the front a bit and go from there for more stability. Looks like you’ve got plenty of fork through to work with.

  14. Looking good!

  15. Cheers mate, it was quiet and perfect conditions so was hoping for quicker but I’m not racing so doesn’t really matter.
Agree on the front and it’s not normally that bad but I was pushing a bit harder so might need a few tweaks. Plus I’ve done 7 days on the front Dunlop now so I think I’ve had my money’s worth from it!

How much would you raise it? We talking 1mm or 5mm? I’ve got no idea!

Cheers mate, getting there slowly. The camera smooths it out so much but it’s a handful! Can see a bit better with my mate following with it moving so much.

  16. Yeah these new cameras make it look like a breeze. I know when I watch mine back I wish it really was that smooth :joy:

  17. I was glad when my mate rode mine and he shit himself as he always thought it was making it easy for me when he watched my vids!

  18. Another day and some more footage from Cadwell. These were the 3 clearest laps I got, but did manage a slightly quicker lap in the afternoon on GPS.

Happy with the progress, easy to see I’m terrible coming into the gooseneck and I can carry so much more speed up coppice and into Charlie’s 1&2 so that’s on the list for next time.
More importantly I finally got my knees down!

  19. So, was at Silverstone Tuesday with a few off here, session 3 I came across a group of 10 or 11 and did some overtakes I'm not exactly proud of, especially the one on the start /finish straight about 3 min in. I calmed down after and normally I'm quite polite with overtakes.

Welcome opinion but I think it was a bit naughty. From about 2:45 for a minute.

  20. Can't see anything wrong with those overtakes. Left loads of room. Only one I thought was a bit off was the guy with red bib (instructor?) As you probably chopped his nose off a bit, but rest looked quite clean. Plus its "fast" group so they should be used to it.
