Last article I read in a magazine in the mid nineties stated at 1 point that at that time Ducati couldn’t win an endurance race as their engines were too fragile for long races.
In bsb even today the clutches will only last one race start. Not good really considering the clutches in the beamers for example will do most of the season
I also recall that when Ducati were all dominant in WSBK that the Big 4 wanted to introduce a limit on how many engines could be used per season per bike.
ERC Ducati still running well despite a crash and running out of fuel https://www.lemans.org/en/page/live-timing/2380
Running out of fuel is such a joke. The guy said in interview, my manager told me once the dash light comes on you have exactly 1 lap. Well, apparently no, he managed to do 0.9 of lap
So loving it! Brings back memories of going to bed at 3am and then getting up in the morning and it's all going on! Bringing back great memories and have done Le Mans (both car and bike) a few times!
What are you talking about? In 11th place, after crashing, dropping down to 40th, and running out of fuel TWICE.
