Yes, it's more humid than blazing. Still sweat buckets today though. Did a 28 mile loop yesterday and sweat then too. I'm lucky, yesterday's 28 mile loop was all off road with a mixture of trails, bridleways, canal and disused railways and i were never more than 6 mile from home... I'm lucky for mountain biking round here. We've got lots of mtb choices.
Yes I’m aware of the rich pickings you have up there, read a lot of Singletrackworld magazine articles about their locality. I have to load up my van I’m not fit enough these days to ride the hour to get to Cannock Chase. I just do little 2 hour loops based around built tracks using some Singletrack and forestry paths. The Deer are the best at making Singletrack in these parts.
I keep threatening to chuck my mtb in the van and head up settle/clapham/hawes.... Some cracking routes up that way. It's good to ride other routes when the mood takes. Was at Sutton bank the other day, not with mtb though. It looks to have some good routes up there, might be worth a nosey at some point.
Kielder is a good shout for mountain biking. I don’t make enough time these days for cycling, my next out will be the Long Mynd Shropshire.
If you're into your gravel, there's a creator on YouTube 'Gravel Films Division'. Worth a look, much of it filmed in my 'hood.
but I use it in the rain as well N.. it's only my old hack, but I do love them (got 3) mainly cheap for what you get. Check out those poppy heads!! ^
Lord Lichfield came highly recommended by my Mrs, she had reason to visit him at his residence at Milford a perfect gentleman as you are Chris. So hence my referencing him, not sure on ‘Bathe it Daily’ having no information on him.
