999 Spring Spruce

  1. Finally got the old girl back after what was meant to be a spring fettle. when ordering parts from Italy always add a few weeks to whatever delivery period they quote.....

Max from Desmo performance Parts kept me informed throughout and always returned my calls.

As always Rich from Louigi Moto and Chris from CJS we great and sorted everything else out.

Managed to go from 119 bhp at the rear wheel to 144 bhp so no complaints there and at the same time a 20% boost to torque throughout as well.

Bike now starts first time from cold with no choke.

The exhaust required some fiddling and a few make shift brackets but more than happy with the end result.

Complete with gucci rear sets, ohlins rear shock, light weight battery, race pads, 520 race chain, a couple of extra teeth on the rear sprocket and slipper clutch.

Just need to work out how to get some light weight CF wheels past Mrs T!!!!

  2. Exhaust is pure trousers down material.

  3. All that power from the exhaust change? Or ecu too? Nice bit of work

  4. No need to change the ECU - Chris from CJS will reprogramme the stock ECU with a bespoke map to suit your exact requirements and bike. Not sure what he changed but it starts so much easier now as well.

He can also change rev limits and other tweaks if you want.

  5. i think you can retard the initial ignition to help it turn over on starting....

  6. Everytime I glance at this thread headline I think it is on about Bruce Springsteen.

Should have gone to Specsavers :frown:

  7. and there is a different thread for that!! It's the one in small print.....

    :upyeah:

  8. Just spotted the extra pad you've fitted on the side stand foot. I did the same. It's a good mod which stops the bike leaning over excessively when parked up.

  9. Glad you like the exhaust and got a good power increase. I know we've had a few issues with delivery times but all is well what ends well :upyeah: and you've been a pleasure to deal with..
talking about the CF wheels got some that may interest you
