  1. it all depends on what you want from a feel and how aggressive you ride.

EBC double-H have aggressive initial bite that many people like
SBS dual carbon pads is a good compromise between road and track and more linear fell
Z04 or SBS DS-1 or DS-2 are top of the line dual sintered pads, but they do require some heat to work properly

  2. I use EBC HH, and now have Carbon Lorraine pads.

  3. Sam, have you fitted a replacement banjo at the ABS pump with a bleed nipple in it ?
If not, your pretty much unlikely to get all the air out unless you use a pressure or vacuum bleeder.

On both of my pre-DVT 1200S's I did this, plus bleeding with RBF660 fluid. Always got a firm pedal now, no more air gathering up at the pump.
I have also fitted a Serie Oro rear disk and HH sintered pads. It is so much better. Solo with a heavy press I can activate the ABS. I tend to use the rear brake a lot when two-up.

There used to be a page og motorcycle info page about doing the banjo change and bleeding, might be worth a search.

    Hope that helps.

  4. That’s great John, thanks.

Mine is a 2016 DVT 1200s. Has anyone bled the ABS pump on a DVT?
