Plus everyone shat themselves when rain spots started stotting off their visors. But not MM. He kept charging. Did you notice the way he gapped the field when the rain started? Fortunately it didn’t go full downpour.
Wonder what the real story is with Morbidelli he’s another complicated character. https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/9...p#block-load-comments-ajax-load-comments-ajax
He injured his knee some time ago now training, he came off in a practice session somewhere and could barely walk at the time, I suspected his performance may have been hampered by injury and this kind of confirms things to a degree. I assume with the upcoming summer break after Assen he's opted for surgery ASAP to extend his recovery time. Yamaha have the option of putting Cal on the bike, but I guess with Covid restrictions and possibly saving an engine they'll probably sit this one out.
They’re putting Gerloff on it ! https://www.bikesportnews.com/news/news-detail/motogp-assen-gerloff-to-replace-morbidelli
