(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

  1. Took track leathers in for a couple of alterations. Legs and arms.
Fitted Pipe Werx baffles to 959 Akros in place of std Akro baffles. Noticeably quieter

    But

    still

    LOUD as f*ck

  2. Spent most of the day cleaning up the front end on the 959. The were a few scuffs and scrapes on the headstock cap and clip ons. Sorted out with light use of JB weld and some of Halfraud’s finest…

  4. Got the go ahead to go on this one as I don’t have enough holidays left at work for a proper holiday. Did you book through Martin or do you need to book with the hotel direct?

    thanks

  5. Added more arms and legs or shortened?

  6. Well. It wouldn’t be lengthened for me would it?!
    :joy:

  7. Ah I see added panels around the middle.:p

  9. Trip out through Herts and Essex on Pani R. A & B toads only. To Hyside.
Not been before. Nice cafe. Very few bikes, most sold. Low stock.
Bought myself some grips for the 959 tracker.
what does it say about me if I said the Pani R is the most comfortable bike I own? :D

  10. Ventured into the shed, put the other 749 on the engine stand.
Hopefully close out the issues with the dark this month, then I can get back to the radical.

  12. That’s interesting, I’ve ordered a Brembo Serie Oro rear disc and pads from Italy. Including postage it’s well under the £135 threshold for Duty. I’m waiting with interest to see if the parcel company slap a charge on that they shouldn’t.

Today I ordered some Titanium bolts from sunny Rotherham, for the new Serie Oro front discs I bought from DR Bikes.

All this lot will be assembled with a set of second hand Marchesini wheels I picked up. They were straight and true but a bit scratched so I’m having them powder coated by Central Wheel Components just outside Burrmingum.

When assembled it should complete the diet I’ve put the Multistrada on. Less is more.

We’ll see if it further improves the bikes handling. I certainly hope so.

  13. I hadn’t realised there is a threshold, I’m waiting on a set of £150 rearsets to be delivered from RSR Moto in Germany.

CWC are in Coleshill or were many moons ago, CMC and an motorbike accessory shop on on the same site.
