  1. I don't do round sport balls only the odd shape ones, but if they can lift that trophy fair play to them after 5 plus decades.......far too long in my opinion.

  2. IMO it’s an American import into all competitive games, I don’t recall it ever being measured as much as it is now.

I read this book a while back, it explains some of the myths associated with ‘the beautiful game’.

  3. Second that on Pickford kicking and some of his decisions. Good shot stopper, can’t seem to catch the ball either. He seems to get giddy in these games.

  4. Stats help determine all sorts of things from who was dominant to who played well or not.

  5. If England don’t cock up the job I’ll be amazed.

I know sweet FA about poofball, but from what I gather we’ve had an easy ride and many of the other teams are playing shit anyway?

I don’t get how we are so bad at a game we invented. The premier league is probably the biggest in the world as well?

Anyway. Enjoy, for those of you who do like soccer. :kissing_heart:

  6. He's conceded one goal in five games, and helped put England in their first major final in fifty years. Are we being a tiny bit hyper-critcal?

  8. I agree with you but they are all high pressure games with a lot of passion. This is after all the first time in 57 years we have got to a final, let’s hope they can fold the Italians like a Calzone.

  9. Good luck against Italy. I hope you win.

I'm scottish but Ive been here so long (40odd yrs) and my wife is english, so I think of myself as a dual national. I'm happy for you guys.

I'm also a Liverpool fan, so I know Pickford is an effin liability. My wife doesnt follow football but has been swept along with this since game 1. Very tense evening, esp as they ran straight thru the midfield at will. Quote of the evening "I dont know how you guys can watch this week in week out". I'm an LFC fan, I know this feeling well enough.
