1299 bike . I want it to turn in quicker . Are you guys running longer shock length or dropping yokes down on forks a tad ? ( to achieve the above )
The lower rose joint on the Panigale V4S Ohlins rear shock, can be unscrewed to increase the rear ride height by a small amount. I increased mine by 5mm. If your 1299 has an Ohlins, it might be adjustable too. Did I feel any difference ? Did too few laps of Donington to tell but really need to wait for Almeria in October as I’m much more familiar with that track. Andy
Pretty sure my Ohlins rear has ride height adj So will spin that . also need 2 more turns of preload coming out of front so that will help also Might need to play with front tyre pressure also Cheers
The 1299 Ohlins shock does not have ride height adjustment the same as the V4 as the shock is horizontal There is adjustment but I can’t remember how but I can check the 1199 in my garage at weekend Easiest way is to have more fork showing you should be able to feel a difference from around 2-3mm but also take note of what tyres you have as a 200/55 will sit around 5 mm lower a 190/55 more like 8 I swapped from Pirelli 200/60 to Bridgestone V02 200/655 on my V4 which sits 5mm lower so I had to raise 5mm just to keep it the same
I’m in Almeria in Oct with both my V4 and my 1199 so come and say hello if it’s the 1-4 Oct trip with FE
Can’t remember the exact dates but we are there with BBS Eurotracks, a small independent in West Berks but thanks for the invite. Hope you have a good few days. Andy
