The Green Melon has equaled Merckx stage record, chapeau that man https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cycling/57725179
The bike only has an old 7 speed hub on the back + 50/34 double up front. I had a rummage about yeterday and have fitted an old MTB tripple I had. I've set the front derailur up to only use the two outter rings 42/32. So far, much better
May I draw your attention to rule #47, I’m hoping that’s your only infringement. https://www.velominati.com/
Out yesterday exploring single track routes around Rosedale with my mate “ Powerful Pete” ! Not a bad day for it and some great little finds Powerful Pete in some nice heather Garmin stats, loving the MTB at the minute in this good weather
I got my 12 miles in, got passed by a couple of cyclists in leotards averaging 20 mph and managed to match them for a quarter of a mile which surprised me.
Been wanting to explore the Esk Valley way for a while, did it today…never again! I rode it the opposite way round to the direction this picture was taken in, I’m sat at the end of it now sweating like a pig ! I thought I’d be on the dolomite path you can see snaking down the opposite side of the hill, but that’s a private path for grouse shooting and the gamekeeper was on it on a quad bike today , the actual Esk Valley way snakes along the bottom and it was a right chew on, too many stream crossings where the cows had been plodging and I was up the eyes of diluted cow sh1te! Path was too overgrown to ride and it must have took me about 2 hrs to yomp three miles carrying the bike through thick bracken, legs are shredded! Spits you out on the Farndale railway line Hang a left and about 4 miles back to the car Glorious Farndale in the sunshine Garmin stats… The numbers don’t tell the whole story, that yomp through the bracken absolutely knackered me today ! Rosedale side of the valley , weather here this morning was thick fog, but the sun burnt it off by about 11 ish,..good day out.
