Waiting to go to Halifax for work, worked at Eurotunnel Thursday/Friday putting this up 5+hours to drive home.
Thanks for doing that, it helps to know where to go when you finally get to the concrete wasteland down there. I've always felt the ride to Ashford and the ride back home from there really is the worst part of any Euro trip! At least you won't have got cold putting that up on Thurs/Fri....
Thanks for the thanks. TBH it’s a crap layout with a myriad of roads luckily we had an escort to get around the site and through the security checks. That wasn’t the only task we had lots of little signs and other decorative panels to erect. You see a lot of random WTF driving moments, stand out this week was a driver using the pedestrian crossing as a short cut. Weather was nice though, traffic was only really busy in the mornings afternoon it was quiet. I agree there isn’t a good route back of the 4 options I could take, the other lads live in Manchester so they got to go a little earlier last week they were 7 hours drive from home and we didn’t leave until 3 pm.
Driving home from the tunnel is horrible. Done it loads if times. Always a pleasure on the French side then when you get off our side it’s just shite. I remember one year in the Stag we just got on the M20 and all traffic stopped. A lorry and caught fire and the motor Way was closed for 2 hours.
In a happy place, Bar44 in Penarth. Buzzing place, sooo relaxed and enjoying some awesome tapas in the company of my bff. Andy
