You always have the option to buy my 1198s. Mind you it has got them dodgy BST carbon wheels on ducati main dealer snubbed. Unless they thought I said they were fruit and fiber wheels. Good luck either way as they are awesome with fistfuls of grunt that makes 4 cylinders feel a little flat.
Post it on here, never know you may get a bite as it looks mint and those wheels give me a stiffy, and I'm sure I'm not alone.
The big problem with snazzy wheels like that is getting someone to insure the bike at a reasonable price...so my mate found out once he had bought them.
Yes, but they are fitted from the factory so technically you don't have to declare them as the bike is not modified from standard.
Also don't get me going on it as a certain dealership claims BST Carbon wheels are no good for the road. They need to research it as they ain't knocked up in some back street garage.
If BST say they're good enough for the road, that's good enough for me. I wouldn't use them round here though, last winter trashed the roads.
BST do a race wheel if your keen...lol Kg or more lighter than the ROAD going BST, maybe the dealer should know the clue is in the NAME... ROAD wheel, no point in telling them about TUV testing then...lol
Don't believe everything but this is my 2nd set and I personally rate them. I know the tests are extensive and every wheel is xrayed to check weave etc
Ive spoken to BST many time over the years the wheels are used widely for all type of racing, projects, speed records etc etc etc, they passed the TUV testing where others failed, also they passed all the main tests with ONE wheel where others use a new wheel for each test!
My mate declared his forged Dymags that he bought for his SP2. That'll be another £250 charge on his insurance policy.
Yes and the bloke from the bike shop is talking utter shite. What's happened to loyalty to customers they just want to steal your money.
Yeah and I bet IF you were asking to buy the BSTs things would be the other way round....lol As for insurance don't even get me started, end of the day they will riggle out of anything if they can, anyone still running OEM tyres? No? Did you declare that too you insurance company? got any stickers, after market screen? work done by a qualified mechanic, dealer, GOD the list of bull is soooooooo long! sorry totally went off on one then...lol
Just don't tell them they screw you wot ever way. I all ways declare everything right down to the titanium bolts !
