wore contacts for 11 years trouble free then out of nowhere my eyes just seemed to reject them, put up with hassle for around 8months then cancelled contract as I could barely use them, had RLE surgery at start of year and its a life changer or has been for me, I couldn't wear lenses on the bike because as soon as visor was opened my eyes seemed to dry out or something.
My wife has a similar issue. Years of wearing lenses then she can't wear them for more than a couple of hours before they become dry and uncomfortable. Optician recons its something to do with pitting on the eyelid
I've got a prescription bi-focal screen. I bump into things when I'm not on my bike, even things that are far away.
I have the classic middle aged (I'm in denial about buying varifocals) syndrome Glasses on the top of head all day except watching telly or driving!
