just a heads up, elsewhere there was recently a link to Ducati Grenoble who were shifting spares at not unreasonable prices, took a punt on their advertised DP ECU, it arrived ok and duty free but appeared suspiciously stock, emailed the chap seeking confirmation etc. which duly arrived so I installed it and I have to say after hundred miles or so, very impressed, much improved over the PCIII with the download full fat map, in fact it feels like a different bike. Don't know if they have any left but no hesitation endorsing mine. EDIT: Various Cheap Parts | Ducati Forum
honestly I couldn't say either way, the 2002 bike uses the AIW15M type ecu? (stock PN 28640161A is listed for '98 to '02 model, you could ask him, he speaks English) If yes I can't think why it wouldn't work, not sure what if anything is different from my '99 project donor? you'd need to perform the other required mods. Mine has pipercross filter, cut airbox lid with F1 open zorsts.
I sold mine about a year and a half ago, it was good, but not as good as a proper map. I also sold my exhausts as I was going to sell the bike, now I'm not sure so I need a set of pipes potentially too
So mine arrived yesterday, I've managed to pick up some cans too, so they will be arriving soon. Will report my findings once fitted. Thanks for the link!
Hopefully the seller will rectify the situation. If not, then there is a solution using the cables for JPDiag and Guzzidiag Reader/Writer for IAW15. https://www.von-der-salierburg.de/download/GuzziDiag/IAW15xReader_V0.68.zip https://www.von-der-salierburg.de/download/GuzziDiag/IAW15xWriter_V0.27.zip If someone has the DP map then it can be copied and then uploaded. I have found the DP 96504900B map for the 900SIE (just change PDF to bin)
I hope not, WAH has had success with his so I'm positive. Emailed them to see. It does look mint and came in a box
As there is no DP labelling on the ECUs the only way to see if they differ is to use Guzzidiag reader and dump both maps in .bin file format. Then use TunerPro to load both maps and use the comparison tool. There should be numerous differences between the two maps. The XDF file required by TunerPro is here https://motoxdf.fandom.com/wiki/(MM_15M)_Ducati_M900 Follow the instructions on how to copy the text and save it as a .XDF file using Notepad. Hi - mine doing very similar, but is cranking. Hoever no pump prime, and the injector relays not engaging. Sent an email asking for replacement to Ducati Grenoble yesterday, but no response as yet. Thinking I may well go the reprogamming route given the information that ChrisW has supplied. cable avaiable from Lonelec - https://www.lonelec.co.uk/Motorbike...ware/Guzzidiag-Melcodiag-3pin-Interface-Cable.
