I used to have a Garmin 660 - sold it and just use my iPhone 5 with a waterproof case with Optimate USB charger now. When it works it works well, mapsource/basecamp route planning are superb, however it has a nasty habit of letting me down.

We toured Europe using my uncles garmin. In the end we had the ump so much that when we saw the garmin mapping vehicle driving along randomly, we kicked it on the ride past. Copilot on the iPhone works a treat

I used to have a similar setup using an iPhone 3GS, but found overheating to be an issue. Do you have any problems with the 5? I might be tempted back from Garmin idiosyncrasy if not...
