  1. I know there's been a fair few of you waiting for some time now........well at last the C Spanner "Plus" is in production again here in the UK thanks to Iain at Palmer Products

If they're not already listing it Podium Racing will soon have the spanner available for those in the USA (arranged by Don/Chickenman.....thanks;-)

  2. Hoorah. Will order mine now.

  3. Almost forgot!!

    NB:
There may well be a more portable version of the C Spanner Plus available before too long - two part handle.......for those that enjoy big mile munching mega tours!

  4. Now that's something I'd certainly be looking to get my hands on. I nearly cut my existing C Spanner Plus in half and had a sleeve made to join the 2 sections so I can take it on holiday with me but I'll wait a while.

  5. Has anyone confirmed if they fit an 1198, by any chance?

  6. I use a couple of them in the work shop, and a rule of thumb is if the bike has the later 55mm nuts/6 bolt carrier then it works. Fitting a Renthal carrier prevents it hooking up though and it won't fit in behind the sprocket of the smaller axle bikes.
so far, I've used them on MTS Diavel 1098 1198 Panigale without a problem.

  7. NOW he tells me that they're doing a 'travel' version of the C spanner plus . I just ordered one through PayPal. Out comes the junior hacksaw, fnar fnar.

  8. Nice one Andy.
I had to adjust my chain whilst in France last week, and used the one in the tool kit.
It is so soft its unreal, and consequently is now twisted to buggery.

Let me know when the travel one is available :upyeah::cool:

  9. An essential bit of kit for all. I have used mine for a couple of chain adjusts and it makes an accurate, quick adjustment, dead easy.

    Well done Andy :upyeah:

  10. Anyone else having problems with communication with Palmer Products ? Jumped in an ordered the C spanner and I've yet to receive any acknowledgement or replies to my email on an ETA. One to add to my avoid list for the future.

  11. Don't be too hasty, could be a very good reason for the delay in hearing from him - he's got a good rep and I'm sure there's plenty of guys here, including myself, that'll vouch for him.

I've dropped him an email also ;-)

  12. He's closed from 25th June til 3rd July..

  13. ....oh yes, as per the notice in bright yellow on his website

  14. Ahhh. I followed a direct link for the product order page which is why I missed it on the homepage. Explains all and therefore retract my previous.

Thank you both for putting me on the straight and narrow :)

  15. It's the 4th now, where's my C spanner  ? Got A Teng torque wrench that's waiting to be twisted and a chain that needs slapping. I'm excited!

  16. Thanks for the advice nelly, unfortunately (or fortunately 'cause I like it) I have just had a Renthal carrier fitted, is the only option the standard spanner then?

  17. Any conventional C Spanner.......I did have a batch of long handled versions made prior to Don coming up with the idea of the 'Plus' version.

....still far superior to the toolkit item!
Would you be interested if I suggest that Iain (Palmer Products) have a few made up?......:brainwave: ....there could be guys here who bought my first spanner and then upgraded to the 'Plus' who might be looking to sell - anyone?

  18. My C Plus turned up this morning. Very happy with it. Also good for pinning rude teenagers up against walls by sliding open end round their neck! Other forms of restraint are available :upyeah:
