Take me back to the 80's and leave me there.....The future is looking very dark IMO, I won't start a rant re. the nasty, nihilistic, tic tok generation.
You should've be tucked up in bed at that time of morning with a nice brunette, what the hell were you thinking man.
Every generation thinks their period was the best ever on planet earth, so that's debatable for many but i'm in agreement with you, we never had it so damn good.
Motorised smartphones. Just look at Teslas. It's only going to be developed further or 'get worse', depending on your perspective. The level of surveillance that we all subject ourselves to by using the internet will just be carried over. There's a certain inevitability to the process; people thinking they're exercising free will but their decisions are subject to a conditioning process by wider society. This is before you introduce the concepts of randomness and determinism into the mix. We still have choices though. We don't have to drive cars and we don't have to use the internet. It'd be a hassle but it's possible. I don't own a car, for example.
You make a very good point there Brad. I still have my paper license from an address I havent lived in for 20yrs as I dont want a photo ID card. TBF all the police who have pulled me over and Ive explained this to, seemed to agree with me and not take it further. We've slept walked into a survellance society and the beauty of it, as far as HM Gov are concerned, is that we've paid for it ourselves. It is the small cuts over time that are leading us all towards the gaping wound that is erosion of our personal liberties and freedom of expression. Beware the thin edges of the wedge. We're all lambs to the slaughter and I can smell mint.
Big Brother Grows Bolder in the EU & UK Ready to amend regulations While the ETSC did not get as stringent an ISA requirement as they would have liked, they are ready to change the regulations should the chance arise. In an article on the ETSC website, ETSC says they will look at how ISA is being used. How will they do that? They will obtain the data from all equipped vehicles’ data recorders. Yes, your (reportedly anonymized) driving habits will be downloaded and reviewed by Governmental authorities. This will happen whether you give your permission or not.
‘If you’ve done nothing wrong, you’ve nothing to hide’ Said the nazis to the Jews…. What no covid card? Excluded from society.
Indeed, the 80's and the 90's were the best in my opinion..... The bikes were sorted, fast, reliable and (especially) they handled.... The roads were quiet and the big brother tech was behind the game. Those days are long gone but I'm glad I experienced them.
Re best periods. I’ve not long turned 30. My generation and those younger than me are all fuck ups. Give me the 70’s anyday. Sex Drugs and Sausage rolls baby! But seriously. This lot are cnuts. I don’t identify as one of them (or a toaster either tbf). Probably explains why my best mate is 45. whoever invented the word offended can fuck all the way off. The only good thing about my generation was the likes of tinder. It’s basically just eat for vagene. You boys had to put mad graft just to get a sticky finger. These days, I can open an app and be knee deep. They’re all thick as shit as well and want to be thrown around like an abused dog toy. It’s a beautiful thing. most of them are absolutely swimming in mental health issues as well meaning that even if you’re a 3/10, you can plough a 10/10 with ease. You’re all jealous. Edit: And we don’t have to contend with bush!
You're not bloody kidding, we earned our fishy fingers.... You buggers just swipe right or left.... IT'S NOT FAIR ban tinder boris.... Or tax it
About as sensible as smart motorways, So when you are overtaking on a motorway and an emergency vehicle is hooning up your backside. You just crawl by and move over when you can, rather than hoofing it and getting out of the way.
This is not maximum speeds, this is to limit the speed of your vehicle to whatever speed limit you happen to be driving in. It will be possible to override the limiter by pressing the accelerator firmly, you will get an alarm sounding while you do this, but the 'black box will record ALL the details of the incident and will be available to the Police and possibly your insurance company. So in effect YOU will be providing evidence of your wrong doing. Currently you are not required to incriminate yourself. There are no requirements on motorcycles but HMG says 'Yet'
