Termi slip-ons came in at 107db for a guy just after gizmo too. I didn't see who did the test,or how they did it but I know the guy who did the testing in the morning was in race control all day, so it couldn't have been him. a test first thing in the morning, before the tracks open would be best. 1) for comparison and 2) because on a day, that's when you'll be tested.
The noise level of every newish bike is now printed in the vehicle registration documents. If a bike fails a noise test, then surely it can be arugued that it hasn't been tested correctly if it's clearly printed in the DVLA registration documents?
Nope, because the noise test for reg is far lower than that for track. ACU isnt that bad but Castle Doom for example has its own at 3/4 max revs
Not sure what you mean bradders as my Pani has 104db recorded in the Reg Doc. Are you saying the reg test is less strict than tracks?
104? Thought it was 98db in UK at 3500 or so revs? 104 is loud as low revs. And how is that 104 measured? There isnt a standard as such used by every track so you can safely assume it wont be anything like hat used for official testing of new bikes
Definitely 104db but at 5375 rpm (50% of where max power is developed) which incidentally is shown on the VIN number label on the headstock
