Did the 1199 de cat and avoided using the 1299 cans as they are a bit trickier to get perfect. Still an easy job to remove the cats on either but the 1199 has the alloy sleeve to hide the welding. On the 1299 ones, you’d need a skilled fabricator to do them or they’ll look shit.
If I recall. We cut all the way round just behind the mounting bracket, then just knocked the cat out and welded it back up. Sorry to be vague but I've snorted way too much cocaine and fucked far to many hookers since. I'm sure there is a write up on ducati.ms
