Por 15 is the product, but you have to go through the cleaning and etching process beforehand. Petrol and ethanol resistant, should give it a new lease of life.
yes, done a few over the years but I didn't remember it being silver. Maybe the spec has changed but could be me - POR 15 has been the best choice out of what's available for over 10 years I do know, used to get mine from Frost:- https://www.frost.co.uk/
Thanks Sprocker, I have to say they look really nice. Good call. Have you noticed any difference in the handling? Are they the original brake discs?
Still not had a chance to get out on it yet due to workload. I got new front discs and pads which look really nice too, Brembo series Oro. Tbh I'm not sure if handling will change ? I weighed the front wheels (with discs and new tyres fitted and they were exactly same weight as the originals. Maybe a slight difference with the rear. I haven't got them for the handling improvement tho, purely for bling but if handling is better, then happy days
I've been to Sheffield to get a new front tyre fitted to the Scrambler. Good news......new front tyre fitted Bad news front spindle nut cracked (before the tyre fitter took the wheel off) New one ordered from Ducati Manchester and due to be fitted on Friday The ride home was a bit disconcerting I can tell you!
that's crazy, I just had a quick look and could find nothing related to this re: problems/recall - overzealous fitter on previous tyre change?
if it's an aluminium nut, like some of it's predecessors, then I don't think it should be "zapped" up quickly with a windy/rattle gun anyway, but that's just me.. it's a pretty thin-walled thing.
Yesterday , fitted bar risers to the Tiger , and went for an 80 mile ride via Glastonbury , Wells and Cheddar , no ache in my upper back or forearms , made a great bike even better .
