A quick look around and it going to be a passion build at £500 purchase already because there’s a lot missing and it looks like they can be picked up in near restored condition for £1500ish? And the Mountaineer is the model to get?

Hello again all. There's another 1299 I'm looking at which was a registered cat n. Post being stolen, ignition barrel and tank. 7k miles. All been repaired and I've had the photos sent over. It's had a ducati service.

The stolen part makes me a bit nervous, but if it's been serviced properly? Thoughts? (I'm new to ducati, hence queries). I appreciate any used bike could come with headaches.

so out of it now, I can't remember "Cat N" in detail, hopefully the gang will be along to chew it all over.

 

Price seems reasonable for the mileage, but I'm fairly sure I could knock it down a bit. I have to factor in getting it to mainland UK anyway. Just wondered if anyone else would take the plunge, hence my hesitancy in just getting it!

In this case it was rhe ignition barrel and fuel tank. All repaired

 

as it is an "N" I don't think I would buy it blind for starters unless I knew the seller well etc.

Not sure about bikes, but brother inlaw had real problems insuring a bmw M3 that had been written off & professional returned to road. Only one company would insure.
