So had a bit of a nightmare week, and today is the funeral of my Best mate who was killed last week on the road on his new bike (V4 SFS).. Sat here in China ( on a Project) has meant a lot of reflection time since last weeks shocking phone call, and I have bounced between selling all my bikes and contemplating buying a new bike.. the mind works in curious ways for sure.. it will be a sad afternoon when I know the service is ongoing, but sadder will be when I get home later in the year and my buddy isn't there to talk bikes and track days etc as we were planning Spain in the new year.. to use a quote from Blackadder... Capt. Darling ' I made a note in my diary, it simply says... Bugger.!' be careful out there.
Sad to read @Nathanhu i lost my best friend at 23 in a van accident while we were working I missed her so much and still do and lost my soul sister back in June so I feel your pain You feel like you cannot go on without them but the memories you made together will see you through the roughest waves of emotion. Can you watch the funeral where you are so that you can feel part of it. I’m sure your bestie would want you to continue riding safely and continuing those plans that you made together and take him with you in your heart The first days are hard but it will get easier with time We are all here for you
I have never lost a mate through something like that, i can only imagine what's going on in your mind.
