I am fortunate enough to have two. one for long journeys, the V4 Multi. and another with similar specs to the 950 Monster. if I want to go out for pure riding fun then the Street Triple is the one I would use.
I dunno. My S4RS would keep with it no problem. So would a 1100 imho. As it’s only above 80 and a fast a road these bikes struggle. And the 959 would struggle the same
I`ve not ridden any of those 3 so cant comment based on experience . My 2 oldish bikes each produce around 100bhp which is more than enough for my ability and more than enough to make me smile when I ride them Getting back to the 950 Monster, on paper it sounds great but I just dont like how it looks. Nothing to do with the lack of trellis frame or any traditional Ducati isms.
Waiting for a December delivery but I'm jumping from a Panigale V4S to the new monster+ with full system. Of course there's no comparison when it comes to the power but on the rural roads of Norfolk the monster makes complete sense. After a lengthy test ride I was hooked even with the weather not being particularly great, literally laughing out loud in my crash helmet. Something about being leant over, full throttle, round a right hander without being pinged to the moon that was a different kind of fun, more manageable I guess. To be fair I was just going to keep the monster for a year while I wait for the new Panigale update so that I didn't have to mess around with MOT's etc. However, I am excited for the new monster, I like the idea of something new. I can see one of two things happening a) two bikes in my garage or b) no new Panigale. That said, I want to see a new 1200 monster with the monocoque set up or a bling version of the monster at the very least, öhlins etc.
