Empire of midges! Got 20 odd miles in up in the hills. Nice before it gets ploughed and ugly (sounds like an old girlfriend).
Was out today, 25miles over the moors and in jungles. Felt very tough, 4 days in a Silverstone field last weekend has seen me knackered all week, every ride seemed tough. Must be an age thing. Best I've felt was today. I'm out tomorrow, I'll get some pics.... If I've got the energy to click my phone
I did 100 miles + last week on the road bike, today did feel tough, ok once i got rolling...Never could sit still
Nice to see you are up Gary! Just got in from my "10 miles" ride plus picked up some Pine Cones for a rally next year, They weigh 3 and 3/4 kilograms and that's only around a dozen.. that's approx half the weight i've put on since my neck came back - how's your elbow? - about to p.m. you.
Ain’t it just, happens around the lanes round here even though there’s a landfill site within 2 mile of where they’re fly tipping.
at the least, would like them to clear up and sweep up the load they tipped plus say another five flytips?
I've experienced a lot of this recently. However, I have realised that if the rider approaching is wearing this type of goggle, he's probably a bit of a front bottom, and best avoided.
Went for a quick 10 mile round the block ride at lunch before another dreaded Teams meeting (WFH). Got a puncture at 5 miles then had to walk home. Nice day so no biggie but missed my meeting… Anyway, attempted to remove rear wheel later but the blasted through axle thingy (dunno what it’s called) which is meant to unscrew was seized in the little bushes that clamp it into the frame stays. Managed to free off the chain side one but the other side (with the q/r lever) is stuck fast. There’s a couple of flats on the bush but none of my motorcycle sized spanners are thin enough to get in the gap. Wheel hasn’t had a puncture for 1600 miles so hasn’t been removed in that time. Bugger.
