The Elan Valley going via the reservoirs, great scenery as well as some single track with passing places. Not a fast road but well worth riding. The last bit from just before the arch to Devils Bridge has been freshly resurfaced and is very nice. The Elan Valley visitor centre at the eastern end is OK for a cuppa or the Haford Hotel or Two Hoots cafe at the western end.
The mountain road from Machynllth to Llanidloes passing the Clywedog reservoir (where they filmed the original Landrover ad).
Agreed rode along there 2 weeks ago great road as is the Llanidloes to Rhayader, be warned though it gets a little narrow in places.
Saw this post yesterday morning and incorporated it into my Wales trip. Often ride in North Wales but never done this one before, and yes it's cracking ride. Thanks for the tip
fast and twisty? low tourist levels? rearly if ever a police presence? stunning scenery? https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Oba...1a62ea56ff2f!2m2!1d-5.4323449!2d56.038292!3e0
I bought my KTM SDR off them recently. I didn’t even know about it. Went to see my mate in Northallerton then on to Richmond.
A93 between Blairgowrie and Braemar and the onwards to Ballater. It has everything you could wish for and, in more than 20 years of travelling on this road, I have never seen a police car never mind a speed camera.
