Someone in your wifes position would absolutely deserve priority treatment and I doubt many could argue with that. Any NHS and other emergency workers are obviously essential key workers so should be at the front of any queues imo
No change last night Boris, a friend has mentioned this morning that they're queuing at 2am and hooting their horns distrubing folks beauty sleep.
Chris your an intelligent man, you know damn well there will be a cock up down the line in the future with any form of transport in this country..
No problem at all on the M1 on Monday, I picked the filling station nearest home cos they all had fuel. Not even a queue (unless you count one car on the pump) at Woodall services either. The ONLY issue is caused by fuckwits filling when they dont need to. Given that Doris and Derek Oldgit now have full tanks that will last them six months of tripping to the Bingo and Tesco, I dont see anything other than it getting better now
Yes, but, rather aptly, it doesn’t go further than the reign of Ethelred the Unready due to fuel rationing
Is that the 360 degree, 3 conrod firing engine? Then yes Fascinating Thread drift but fuck it… When my lad was little I took him to see Thomas the Tank Engine there. But you have to walk through the main (engine) hall to get to the Thomas the Tank Engine bit. We almost didn’t make it such was some of the interesting stuff to look at….
i'm glad I flushed a few comments out but it was unintentional because of a mis-understanding that i hadn't forseen:- My above quoted post was a cryptic attempt at humour - i.e. all but the most stupid fucker would refrain from "parping" their conventional electric horn because it would be robbing their energy, the very energy that they were queuing up to urgently replenish.
I went to the Transport Museum at Clapham when I was eight or nine, where Mallard was at the time. I was wondering if that's at York these days? Maybe they've got a thing for blue locos? Anyway, petrol (and weather) permitting, I think I'll take a ride up (which gets it back on thread, I think!) I was thinking the Deltic is like the Ducati-on-steroids of locos. But Vincent is probably closer to the mark.
I, see the positive in these events as we are potentially going towards a proverbial xmas-cresendo. Hopefully been a pessimist & asshole; people will realise that it's time too reduce (dare I say remove? no) their intake of televisual programming of all brands & denominations. Buy some red wine & savour a nice french style bread stick with some quality cheese (I've deleted the part about not voting tories for a whole generation). Either its hysteria next or wholesale insanity like american LA riots of 1992, over some flippant trival wittisim. The film Network wasn't suppose to be a tool manual for human conditions via TV controllers & corporations. It was created too eventually turn the page on the publics discourse towards being the manipulated imho.
From this I can only conclude that my MSM source is considerably better at scaremongering than yours.....
