Hi All Picked up my 2013 Touring S with a few extras to make it more GT like ( Just couldn't do the silver/ gray ) . Awesome , awesome , awesome ! Has anyone played to individualize the Skyhook settings? Cheers Dave
I was wondering the same question. I was going to try and set the sag on the suspension but was unsure if it mattered with all the different modes. DO you need to check the sag for each mode or will it affect each mode once you have set it up!!! Still waiting for someone to confirm if its worth setting it up like that or not.
Unless you're having problems, I wouldn't bother - or if I did, I'd go to somebody like MCT who could tailor it to me.
I had a play . I left the preload alone . I only did this in touring mode , but the default " ride " is medium , so I backed it off to medium soft . Makes the ride quite plush indeed ! I may even try the soft setting and see what it feels like .
I played with the settings after feeling that there was not much feedback in Touring mode and put the front suspension setting to Medium Hard, definitely more feedback but not such a smooth ride. I have now got used to the Sachs and Skyhook suspension after the Ohlins on a 2010 Multi and feel that the Sachs with Skyhook are just fine for me and give a smoother ride than the Ohlins. Remember if you want to feel the Skyhook difference switch to Sport Mode - rider only. in that mode the Skyhook is OFF and is the setting for track use or fast road use. Then ride the same piece of road in Touring mode - rider only you should notice the difference. Result of this is that the bike is back to factory settings - medium - it works for me
Thanks VeeTwin . I've only done 700km , and the roads in Queensland are crap after all the flooding early in the year , that's why I went softer . Doing some longer trips later in year ( Phillip Island MotoGP so have plenty of time to play around with it . Cheers Dave
Funny, someone just mentioned to me that MCT adjusted a Skyhook. Was it you Mac? What did you need tuning?
