I have been running up and down the stairs for a couple days no not keeping fit though my step count is good The girl is poorly and isolating she is being fed and watered via rubber gloves and a wooden door between us
Went to the gym first thing, behaved like a twat on the bike for a few hours, then went for a pizza express & the cinema to see Bond. A great day.
Dreary run on the 999 through Peacehaven/Newhaven/Seaford, then the delights of a couple of circuits East Dean and Beachy Head and a walk to look at the view from the top. Still getting used to exceeding the national limit in first gear, and fearing for my licence if I let the rev counter more than a third of the way around the dial. (See Speed Awareness Tax thread!!). Back home just as the weather deteriorated. Beer.
Woke up to dreary skies, watched F1 hoping for the skies to clear in the afternoon, F1 ended, the sun came out, went for a ride, got a call from BikeTrac , home for a top class roast dinner, yummy!
Visited a local motorcycle retailer for a mooch and now sat in a nearby cafe, enjoying a garlic butter soaked, bacon and brie panini and a cup of very nice coffee. Got to do my Day 2 COVID PCR later and not looking forward to it Andy
Nearly broke my neck doing that. Should have taken them off first! Live and learn! Doctors this morning. Poor man he looked ill. Advised him to take some time off, reduce his alcohol intake, stop smoking and lose 10kgs. Smelt both as I entered his room. Arse like a Harley rider. Help where I can.
First thing I took SWMBO to a friend’s house in Barnsley and then I went to Sheffield climbing. Picked her up again at 4pm and came home to a lovely present from one of our friends who went to see Amanda Owen on a speaking tour last week. The calendar will take pride of place in the study Now waiting for #1 son to arrive with our two jockanese grandsons as they are staying with us for a couple of days whilst his wife spends time with her dad who’s presently in hospital in Stockport for the umpteenth time this year. I don’t think he’s got long but so far he’s defied medical science for the last 4 or 5 years so who knows. As Scottish schools are currently on half term, tomorrow afternoon we’re taking the grandchildren to the local pool/splash park then taking them to Leeds for a few hours to play with their cousins, when they come out of school. On Thursday I’m taking them skiing
Made chocolates with my daughter courtesy of an online tutorial. They taste fab but I have eaten too much leftover ganache
I did work this morning refitting a shed roof that was fecked, and just returned from a rideout as the weather was nice, but the dreaded white fingers kicked in on the way home..
