Honda Thread

  1. Two old 'Ondas of mine , the 1st the original Honda Superbike IMO as it wasnt a tourer in it original guise. It handled quite well for a mid 70's big old barge, a much later purchase of the CB1100RS reminded me a lot of the old Goldwing . IMG_1183.JPG IMG_2510.JPG

  3. Thumbs up for the GL1000. I've had one for about 5 years now and it's a great bike. Surprisingly quick for a bike of its age and size and also comfy. A lot of people don't realise or have forgotten that it was the quickest standard production bike in its day after the 900 Kawasaki.

  11. IMG_20210430_151132.jpg My,first of the 1000cc Fireblades. Totally original and always puts a smile on my face, even if the seat does have enough room to hold a banquet on it

  12. My old Hornet - bought it in right state for £600 and then hit ebay for all the bits. So many bits I can not remember them all...
Headed up to Slicks to get a dynojet fitted/dyno'd and after the first dyno run it developed a misfire at about 10,500 revs - it would pull through it but it wasn't happy. Over the next 6 months I swapped the plugs, the coils, the ECU, the loom, the engine... still had the misfire.. As I was still replacing all the old rusty bits (from the previous owner...) I replaced the right hand switch gear and the misfire went away.. the kill switch had corroded and was bouncing at a vibey point in the rev range... doh !!!

  13. And my blackbird :) Sits in the garage as I just can't see far enough down the road any more to have fun on it.
