Well you can modify and tune the pre-DVT properly so if I was buying one now with the intention to "enhance" I would probably pickup a early ohlins model. If you put aside any EuroX concerns and don't mind the loss of quickshifters and cruise, then the older models with the right parts will produce dyno charts equivalent to the ones published for the V4.
