Right @Count_Ducoo and @pauly …….enough is enough! Stop it now! We have rules on the forum and you broke them. Do it again and I’ll take further action. I think I’ve deleted all abusive posts but if I’ve missed any please let me know and I’ll delete those too.
I am still looking for punctuation marks sorry did I miss anything ? Ah sorry @El Toro duly noted consider me on the naughty step.......... MIKE TYSON WAS THE GREATEST HE WOULD HAVE SMASHED FOREMANS BACK DOORS IN *fingers in ears* LALALALALA I'll get my pyjama's on and go to bed without tea
Can we get some parliamentary procedure in here, Tyson Fury had his named bestowed upon him by his father John Fury believing his son would one day rise to such dizzying heights that Iron Mike Tyson did so in appreciation here is a picture of the greatest to step into the squared circle Iron Mike Tyson
Tbf, name checking Ali and then following it up with a photo of Tyson on the deck isn't the wisest juxtaposition given the way Ali's career ended in ignominy where in his last bout but one he fooled the authorities with a dodgy medical certificate that covered up the early signs of his Parkinson's, showed up to the fight out of shape and his corner threw in the towel to save him from further punishment. Not hating on The Greatest btw as most boxing careers end with a bit of a pasting or waving the white flag (I wish Mayweather's had as I detest that horrible little w*nker).
Both men were in their physical prime in the pictures I posted. The only thing that's relevant is Ali couldn't box for 3 of his best years, and Tyson was a thug that threw it all away. Bringing up the end of Ali's career is nonsense.
And Ali would have been disqualified in the fight against Cooper if the officials had seen his corner giving him smelling salts and he would have been in danger of being knocked out at the start of the next round but for the fact he needed new gloves, which gave him time to recover. Btw Tyson had been out partying until the early hours the night before his defeat to Douglas. Probably with your mum (don't @ me - I'm just pulling your leg!)
Cheers for clearing that up aficionado @pauly In case anyone missed it TYSON LOST TO DOUGLAS and FOREMAN WOULD HAVE BEAT HIM that means he cannot be considered a great boxer but apparently nothing but the performance in the ring matters no outside factors can sully that so on that basis I present Ali vs Spinks pretty much a nobody beating the champ See how stupid that sounds @Zhed46 Do not try to reason logic with him he is happy dismiss Tyson was already on a slide outside the ring to create his own narrative to suit his tunnel vision and dislike for Tyson, I also agree with you regards Mayweather his personality is completely abhorrent but what a talent As for Tyson Foreman and Ali both endorsed him over the years as being one guy they would not have wanted to fight in their or his prime, there is a lovely interview with Ali, Tyson and Sugar Ray on the Arsenio Hall show when Ali was still able to communicate though obviously on the slide, Ali's gracious and playful approach to Tyson tells you the respect he had for him I will go with his sentiment not some argumentative obnoxious poster on a Ducati forum Just for the record Tyson just about squeezes into my own top ten heavyweights he never realised his potential nor fought through real adversity or avenged his losses so he is at the lower end His mentality and how he lived outside the ring and key losses around him and his draw power all combined to rob him and us of possibly something greater but as it stands he simply did not live up to his meteoric rise but what a rise he had Anyway lets talk about the real main event who gets bummed first
Ali wasn’t the greatest. He had some right hidings. If MSM keep telling us and telling us and telling us something then people start to believe it. We’re also repeatedly told that Pele was the best ever footballer. Absolute bollox…. As obnoxious as Floyd Mayweather is, he’s probably the best in my lifetime. Much better boxer than Ali. And there’s a few more I can think of….
I’m not sure if he will catch up to that at no point in this thread anyone with any conviction said Tyson was the greatest But I’m awaiting more James Buster Douglas / George Foreman stuff but now that Ali is in the mix it could take an interesting turn I better not say that I think Chris Eubank was one of the best British fighters we ever produced, that normally gets the throbbers apoplectic Ah shit ! Never mind
