(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

  1. Finally got the Marchesini forged wheels on the Multistrada today. Really noticeable weight difference when picking them up and putting them on but haven’t been able to ride it yet. It’ll be interesting to feel the difference when riding.

Going to need a new 55mm socket, the impact driver has mullered this one. Ali, maybe not the best material for the job.
Big thanks to Bazzer for helping out today.

  3. Rideout in the Cotswokds for my meetup group. Stopped off for the obligatory coffee and cake at KOTI Autotalli in Chipping Campden.

A shorter than usual route intended to for learners in the group, by request, though none attended. Those that came were on bigger machines so a more progressive ride than planned.

Whilst at KOTI another group turned up 4 Multistradas in it. Anyone from here?

Given the rain in the morning the roads were pretty muddy, bike require a deep clean once home.

  6. Think I've seen a few photos of your V due before but cant remember if your using the original exhausts or aftermarket,

  7. Unfortunately not mine though I have tried to buy it several times. Doing the work as a favour, the cans are all standard. Hopefully dyno it when I'm finished to see what it can do. (Hopefully not seize)

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  8. Made a battery charging cable from a CTEK direct connect cable & a Ducati DDA SAE charge cable via a Superseal connector. Not tried it yet, but my multimeter says the cables are not crossed. For peace of mind, I will check again before attaching the charger on a new day :)

  11. New bike came yesterday, so fitted a luggage rack, smaller number plate, mount for my phone, better levers and mirrors. Then took the mirrors off as they looked shite!

  15. Fitted the satnav to the Monkey, ready for the running in trip to Cornwall next week! Oh, and rethreaded the luggage rack that was sent with a threaded nut.

  16. Picked up a 1199r flywheel on Ebay, for my 1199s as part numbers are the same as the 1299 version 27610701A, and for 38 euros was a bargain compared to 230euros for a 1199r version..
lets see if it fits etc

  17. My 1098R now has a new owner. Loved the bike, pleased I had it to ride but things move on, it’s not been ridden since the Panigale V4 arrived 3 years ago. It’s gone to a good home and will be ridden on the road and on track .... as it should be. Andy
