  1. I sold my Bmw s1000xt for a
MS 1260s because the vibes were awful and bmw dealers told me it was normal !
Shocking sales bullshit ok bmw r better finished but don’t bullshit me admit there is a problem and sort it
Anyway love the v4 engine but not the 19 in front and insurance until the insurance companies stop taking advantage I m sticking with my 1260 love it love the twin drive

  2. Then you have done the right thing then. I got 3/5ths of f--k all for my 2011 1200S but I've had my fun on the old girl touring Europe. I 67 so I thought id better get the V4 tour while I'm still young :p. The fact is that the V4 is a different bike very quick and very comfortable so perfect for me i don't give a toss about range i want to stop around the tank range to unwind my body parts. The only thing for me is that its a bit soulless compared with V2 until you get up the rev range and hear the induction roar:upyeah:.

  3. I agree ms v4 has better seat and lots of little improvements & a stinking engine when revved up if only they put a 17 front in first place
    V2 character is lovely

  4. The more I hear about top end power and lack of character down low, the more convinced I am that it is not for me. Sounds like the latest S1xr, all top end and no soul.
The v twin was perfect. Just needed to be more focussed with less weight and length. The new bike looks huge, a far cry from the first very prety PP imo.
Add in price, mpg and a lack of torque. Just not convinced by it.
    Be test riding the R1250gs.

  5. Test ride all of them including X-ray,gd 1260,v4 15-24 k is a lot to spend and not be sure
    I thought I would be buying v4 until I rode the 1260

  6. The V4 engine is far better low down than the V2 in my opinion. Smoother, better drive, more flexible and much easier to ride.
Around town my 1200Dvt was not pleasant. Too much changing gear needed and often in 1st gear. The V4 engine is a world away from that.
It’s each to their own I guess.

  7. Love it :upyeah: they got there in the end ;) but my 1260 now has 43k on it, so worth even less, may have to raid the pension fund though

  8. I certainly found that when I rode the Pani V4 - amazing engine (I haven't ridden the V4 yet) and still characterful. However, I've been riding Ducatis for more than 30 years, so I guess I just accept a bit of low-speed lumpiness as part of the deal, and ride around it. I'm still trying to organise a back-to-back ride of the 1260PP and the V4S, then I think the decision will come down to a PP - either a 1260 or a kidney and a V4. My '10 1200S is probably worth 2/3 of SFA, despite a low mileage, but I'll have to see how easy it is to move that on.
