As I said they do clearly state in the launch video that it’s 60000 km and as a line of logic if the engine is the same then why would the valve checks be different? I’m not arguing with you Andy, I’m sure you’re right about the 3 examples you mention. Stu-pendous, you seem to assert the 60k interval with some authority, which I’m not doubting either but perhaps you can give us your background and lay this one to bed. The thought of paying for a valve check at 9000 miles doesn’t fill me with glee. One further thing I do know, if they’ve claimed it in the launch video they’ll have a lot of problems trying to wriggle out of it and I think Ducati have had enough problems with valves on this bike already. My money is on the typo’s but…. 3 times is a lot! Having said that where were they printed?
Have you got a discount code you can give me? £24.5k Add an Akrapovic full system, plastic boxes a centre stand plus a couple of little items and you’re there. Now I understand your step as opposed to a leap. You know when you get the PP……… giz a go
I'm absolutely sure that I read the tech spec the other day and it said 48 months warranty, now says 24. Unless I was on a different Ducati website that shows something for another country. Oh and that 9 month valve clearance shows here too. How much are they?
Sorry should have said , I already have the full system and will be going for the Ali boxes from the options box in the configuration which also has the grips and stand , again already have the side panniers and top box .Depends where you live for the test ride lol Speaking to my dealer today so will see about the service and warranty and also to finalise the small bits .
24 month warranty may be a deal breaker for a lot of people. I’m going to ask for clarification on this and the valve service when I speak to my dealer later.
Don’t all Multistradas have a 4 year warranty? https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/news/f...ole-multistrada-family-starting-from-november
Yes, I’ve just checked on the Ducati site. I’m not sure where the 24 month post above came from?? They are quoting 9k miles for the valve clearance check though, which I assume is just their term for a normal service?
Its definitely 4 year warranty according to the Ducati website. Valve check at 9000 miles is still listed though. https://www.ducati.com/gb/en/bikes/multistrada/multistrada-v4-pikes-peak?tab=Tech Specs
I was browsing using my phone and just been to check the link and think it's the US site. Do those guys get 24 months and we get 48? https://www.ducati.com/us/en/bikes/multistrada/multistrada-v4-pikes-peak
Hi all, Do you think it is possible that we will see Multistrada V4S with 17'' front wheel and SSSA in the future? So difference between Pikes Peak would be the same as in the past, no ohlins, no forged Marchesini wheels and hopefully, "normal" Ducati paint without that (for my taste) silly "racing" paint scheme. Only in that case, I might consider switching from my MY19 1260S... Although, I really like the twin and the fact that it has desmo so I would still have to think...
No, can't see that would make any marketing sense myself. Here's a useful comparison FYI y'all. Yes, I know that's in the US but Ducati seem to set their pricing on the basis that if it lists at $25,000 in the US then it lists at €25,000 in the EU and c.15% less than that in GBP£ in the UK, consequently looks like a lot of extra wonga to me when the two are specced similarly for bragging rights. However, Ducati know their market, know their customers and know the depth of their customer's pockets.
Honestly I can't believe they can't get some consistency with these figures, it's just unacceptable. Also, you would expect a 4 year warranty now, especially with what these bikes are costing, I'd say 3 year should be the minimum for ANY bike. I got my MV in part because it was a straight swap value wise but also because it had a 3 year warranty and the warranty on my V2 was running out! ridiculous really. Many MV's now have a 'lifetime warranty' which I am sure is 'lifetime of the bike' probably considered to be 5-10 years, and some will say "well they need that" but it shows they are trying hard to prove to people that they will get the support they need and believe in their brand.
As a track weapon, I agree that the SFV4 would be better. However, the SFV4 is not a good all-rounder street-bike. It lacks wind protection which will get painful after a hour or so at highway speeds.
I like this new model but it's getting heavier than the previous gen which wasn't exactly a featherweight to begin with. V4 Pikes Peak: 239 kg (527 lb) 1260 Pikes Peak: 229 kg (505 lb)
The V4 is much better balanced than the V2 and not as top heavy. It’s easier to manoeuvre about at low speed and just manhandling out of the garage.
I’m pleased they’ve not sent me one as I’ve not told SWMBO yet that I’ve ordered a new bike for March
Looks an awesome motorcycle not sure about the No1 I haven’t got anywhere near that sort of money to pay for a motorcycle if I did I still don’t think I would buy I would rather have several Ducati’s in the garage All you guys that are buying one enjoy I will be sticking with my 2013 PP
