  13. Nice condition, but I really don't get the love for fizzys. My first bike was a Suzuki TS100, but I wouldn't give garage space to one today.

  14. If i didn't have the Paul Smart then this would be my next choice.

  16. Love this, How old is it, Never seen one before now, Are they extremely rare?

  17. 1977 Laverda Jota 1000cc 180 triple, not extremely rare but having said that you're not likely to see one parked up in your local Tesco car park anytime soon.
The 180 denotes the piston firing order, most triple engined bikes have a 120 degree firing order, the 180 gives it a unique sound!, the triple engined bikes started off as a 3c then in 1975/76 the Uk importer (Slaters) modified them with higher comp pistons, lumpier 4c cams and open exhausts and called it a Jota. The earliest ones came in green then red then Silver ,like mine, then Gold and finally the orange that most people associate with the model and marque.
In the mid to late 70's they were the fastest production motorcycle you could buy, i remember ogling at one in a dealers in Lincoln (Porta's i think) when i was 17 or 18 but the chance of me buying one then was like hitching a ride to the moon, they were well over £2k , a small fortune when i was earning £20 a week as an apprentice.

I recently found myself in a position to acquire one - so i did, but as a 44 year old bike it needed fettling, the first thing required was a totally modern ignition/charging system, and whilst it was being done i was advised it needed work to the top end which has all been done too, the bike does not disappoint and attracts attention like a fly on shite everytime i stop anywhere...i love it. :D
