Bit bored, been sulking. I drilleded me and like a completed cockwomble. I was messing about with some outside lights on a hotel, well, making some brackets and oooooops. Three days in hospital, mostly hanging about. Went through the first knuckle and into the next one with a 6mm metal bit. Broke the first one, a nice hole straight through it, pulled a load of bone and god knows what out (still on the bit) left a load of metal bits in there and thankfully only nicked me tendon. Can’t believe the amount of lads I know who’ve done similar since I did this. It’s like a bloody competition. Biggest disaster or biggest bellend.
Thankfully, I can't feel your pain! That looks damn awful for you to deal with, however, I can't help but think, surely you could have looked after your self better........ As Cookster has asked above, how on earth did you manage to do this?
It was the last hole of 8 It just slipped or I moved my hand, dunno. Don’t fancy doing it again though Thank god the Mutleys got an up and down quick shifter. Just over two weeks since it happened, should be able to cope on Sunday
What are you like!!!! Ouuuuch Safety gloves next time if there is such a thing I’m sure there must be Heal well and feel better soon What’s the next job
Nasty! To make you feel better, give me two minutes to find my selfie from a few weeks back. A long session at a leaving party, followed by tripping over the dog, face planting the tiled concrete kitchen floor. Broken nose and a few days after the picture scabs and black eyes! Sort of lucky I was so drunk I straightened it before going to sleep with a bit pull push and crunching...had concussion after the hangover passed the next day but and apart from a little lump that was not there before...all healed now. Idiot.
I angle grinded my thumb, not as bad as yours but it flipping hurt. I don't think the grinder touched my thumb but I was using my hand as a vice, like you do and the disk gripped the bracket I was grinding, belted my thumb and then flew into the air just past my head. It hurt but could have been a lot worse.
Bloody dogs. I fell over mine earlier this year and either dislocated or broke my finger. It’s still really painful and slightly z-shaped (which is appropriate) 6 months later because being a typical man, unless a body part is spurting blood or more than 45 degrees out of alignment, I didn’t deem it worthy of a hospital visit. Ironically, only an hour earlier I’d been clambering around on the roof of my motorhome to cut the wires on the arial which had been torn off in the middle of a force 9 gale and not far from the edge of a cliff, yet had survived unscathed, only to trip over the mutt and wreck my second best hand when I took him outside for his pre-bedtime p!ss.
