Can anyone recommend a decent tyre foot pump please. I've just bought yet another pump and the poxy thing is useless. Not only is it incapable of producing pressures of more than 38 psi in my motorcycle tyre, the valve thing is so useless I loose more air releasing it from the valve than I have just put in after thrashing away for 5 mins FFS!

These things are ace .....and fit both Schrader and Presta valves ..... easily puts 60 psi into my bicycle tyres . Made by Crivit .... they come around regularly in Lidl at about £6
I'd look for a decent bicycle pump, the same style as in Oldtec's post above. There's some good quality pumps on the market like Park for example. I've always found them to be far better than the tat a lot of car places sell. They are more than capable of pumping up motorbike tyres, obviously harder work than an electric pump or compressor/air line set up, but I'm guessing you need it where there's no electric available !
I like the look of the Amazon jobbie, seems a much sturdier construction than the normal cheapo Chinese made abominations. I think i'll take a punt on that. I'll also look out for the Crivit that Oldtec mentioned in Aldi. My experience with anything with batteries is that Sods law dicatates that the batteries will let you down at a critical moment!

Lasted 3 trackdays.....tried at least 4 different brands including Michelin, none lasted more than 1/2 year. Went to track pump, still in perfect shape after 4 years.
agree, have come to the same conclusion as O.P., that it seems really difficult to find a footpump* that lasts like the old school versions did, and i'm not ruling out resurrecting a "60's" one with new seal as at least they could be dismantled. I have a few kicking around. I tried a twin-pump version of yours @Jono100 and it worked very well for a couple of years but hardly used it to be honest, so around a hundred times before seals started to leak and hose connection at pump ditto as the plastic just wasn't up to the job and kept coming loose before finally stripping. *I haven't tried an SKS and tempted, I need literally a foot pump as hand operated ones can set my neck off.
