  4. Exactly my point ;)

It’s not about the milliseconds saved per change, it’s about ease of use and one less thing to worry about when riding.

BTW clutchless down shift works fine on a multi too with a simple throttle blip :upyeah:

  5. I only piped up because a Tuneboy QS (with mapping and Launch control ) is cheaper than a new slipper ).....

  6. Wasn’t meant as a criticism, just no point in pursuing a line I wan’t going down, for a number of reasons. The clutch however, is absolutely essential :joy::joy: Andy

  7. Already posted this but thought I better put it in the build thread.

and confirmed today, my 520 conversion kit has arrived in the UK. Not what was expected, a 2 piece rear sprocket instead of a QR but deffo bling.

Almost all there now, just case protectors to show up and a slot in the workshop. Andy

  8. The bike is just starting its journey through the workshop today. Quite surprised to learn the bike tips the scales at 220kg wet, minus cat. Book states 198kg dry so would have put it at 220kg wet including the cat. Hey ho. Andy

  9. Okay, first bit of feedback from the workshop, all the closing clearances are on max limit despite a clearance service only 4000 miles ago ..... according to the service book ;) Feeling rather glad I decided to ask for a full monty service from day 1. Andy

  11. Did a test fit of the rear wheel with a Pirelli Supercorsa SC 200/60 fitted. Will post pictures when it’s finally fitted and the chain adjusted but looks like there’ll be room all round to get your finger between the tyre and the swing arm. Andy

  12. And the Gilles foot pegs are great. Andy

  13. A quick update after I popped in the MR on Monday, the EVR torque limiting clutch is now fitted which is probably the biggest job, after valve shimming. The Evotech case protectors are on and don’t actually look out of place and the bespoke brake lines should appear later this week so progress is being made. Andy

  14. When is the first planned outing?

  15. Currently 4 days at Almeria in May is booked. Depending on how European travel restrictions develop in the coming couple of months, I might look at organise something at short notice. Andy

  16. NL have Cartagena I think Feb ;)

  17. Get thee behind me Satan :joy: Cartagena is one of my favourite tracks and places. Teo Andres, not far from the Carrefore, is an awesome, traditional tapas restaurant. The food might not be pretty but the tastes are wonderful. Andy
