Tested pos. For covid at the weekend... felt rough until yesterday pm...now I feel fine.... The weather is mild and I've got 4 bikes I can play out on and a car to fix that I'm.not allowed to work on. So, so bored
I live in apartments so would have to go they communal staircase (small block, hardly any traffic) them work on the car in front of the garage...but that means in the street Don't think that's legit ...unless you're called Boris
Impressed by your restraint. Small block means you could hold your breath, run down the stairs and not touch anything.... some would say. Not me though, stay in until you get a negative test or 10 days pass...or whatever the law is for non politicians this week. What if you lived alone and had a dog, would you not be allowed out to take it out for its business....and pop into the pub for a quick one? I'm kidding about the pub bit.
That definitely sucks, as they say Chuggy, i feel sure you have considered all you can view on "box" and possibly bored yourself here already or not your thing, but there are 4 Guy Martin progs to watch for starters? https://www.channel4.com/programmes/guys-garage/on-demand/64275-003
I'm a saddo without any tv..... tho I do have YouTube on a tv (phew!) I may wait a few more days then do the car around the back in the car park, where no pedestrians pass (washers don't work so I've got to take the bumper off to access it !... focus))
Sympathies to the OP but this is a real concern to me. I live alone, have two dogs and only a small paved back yard and live in a town. Would be doing, masked up, night time walks to the park and a trip around the block during the day. That's unless Boris wants to pay for a dog walking service which would cost something like £500 for 10 days...
I suggest you set up a gathering to discuss important events. A few bottles of wine, a little cheese, secret Santa maybe. You could then take your gathered minions into the car park sort out your motor, repair as necessary and then drive up to Barnard castle to check out your eyesight en route. Maybe have a quick adulterous affair it’s Christmas after all! While your away why not get the apartment decorated. Be careful though the price of wall paper nowadays! Buy a house for the same cost. Time will fly by. Just an idea, seems to work for some.
Something I was chatting to friends about at the weekend. We know a few people who live alone, how would/do they cope?!
The thought of 10 days where I have a good excuse not to see or have to talk to anyone sounds rather appealing to be honest.
