Just got back from Tanworth, delivering aunt and uncle's card. Fingers just starting to get cold when I arrived, about 40 miles away. Hooray for my 30 year old Fieldsheers! Forgot to take a shot of their bin on account of being in a hurry to get back for Christmas dinner at the local restaurant, especially when the bike cut out. That was me learning that in the cold I have to set fast idle. First really cold start I've done with this bike. Of all the towns and villages I went through, Tanworth was the only one full of families going for a walk. No other bikes, let alone Ducatis. I'll go back in the Spring and pay my respects to Mike the Bike.
Went for a lovely blatt in a friend's M thing.. almost like a 4 wheeled motorbike, very kind of him to trust me in it, tyres were far too wide so hard to get any feedback even with T.C. off.
A little exercise this morning with collecting some presents on the way, then onto the parents for a delicious meal. The next free meal tomorrow.
Well after the little one went back after a seaside walk, on my doorstep. Cheeky 15 scallops divided by 2 with veg and balsamic glaze, with some crab soup. Cheeky Camembert with Tiger bread, after a couple movies. 4 bottles of Prosecco finished. Asleep by 9pm and a 5 mile run in the morning, as today is a proper little fatty boom boom day.
Staying in York for a couple of days over Christmas,..freezing it is had a quick wander around this morning to take in some of the sights and history.. St Wilfreds church.. The Minster is looking good The sign said it’s had it’s own stonemasons working on site since the early 1800’s…they must be getting really tired by now ! Even had time to pose for my own Gargoyle… Then spotted this geezer,…Constantine the Great, two things I didn’t know about him .. He was proclaimed Emperor in York in AD 306 and,…he rode a 996 sps Time for a quick snifter before Christmas dinner History everywhere!! My weekly pint of “ Diesel “ @evoarrow and I’m read for some grub to warm me up Nice day out and hope everyone has had a great Christmas
Transformed my body from an athlete to a darts player in under 8 hours. And about to stick a buffet tea out.
Declared we would not need to eat for a week less than4 hours ago……… now preparing Turkey sandwiches !!!!!
Today, I have spent the day with those I love and who love me. The pub made us feel very welcome and laid on a generous Christmas lunch. My liver probably won't thank me in the morning but I have achieved what has become a Christmas tradition and enjoyed a whole bottle of 10 year old tawny port. I hope your day has been as enjoyable and comfortable as mine. Andy
We just let the day do it's own thing most of my Christmas Dinner was prepared just to make life easy so I thought, think being organised is easier. I'm absolutely exhausted but loved spending the day with my two around me socially distanced windows open Even though one didn't feel well tummy ache so he went back to bed. Seems ok just out of sorts. Not doing a lot today I'm out of puff and energy Breakfast Dinner
