FFS... cant believe one popped up and I missed it... With that said though, I would never have searched "dashboard silent block"...
What a total , still a good chance someone saw it on here I reckon, as Paul said it had been hanging around for ages.
As Procurement in different forms has been my profession for many years I just assume everyone uses all the tools and techniques I do to find stuff on EBAY. Any search is dependant on the title and description entered by the seller, so one search is never enough. Always find out what the part number is and what the manufacturer calls it. Search for what you'd call it. Then search for what the manufacturer calls it. Then search for the part number. Then search for any other generic name: -Ducati dashboard Foam -Ducati dash foam -Ducati clocks foam -Ducati speedo foam -etc Remember to tick the include description box. Try not to be too specific. Ducati dealers selling off old stock may just list a part number, or the official Ducati name. But private sellers, particularly selling used parts, will give it a generic name. Most of the above also applies to Google.
Still an available spare part according to these guys https://www.bike-parts-ducati.com/ducati-motorcycle/assignment_spare_parts/800077936
It can be confusing... Different part numbers for the same part for different bikes... "Silent block" for a 916sp and "Anti-vibrant" for the 916bip. I am positive they are both identical and will fit although they are different part numbers.. Unless anyone on this thread knows otherwise I think I'll order one up from ducati.
Shame its been up for around 6 months the seller had two of them, did you get that 916 i mentioned in your wanted thread.
Yes thought i would share my generosity I've picked up a good few bits over the years, as Nasher mentioned do a good bit of searching and see what's out there, but a 900ss escapes me in my search
