Raking rotting leaves up in the drive entrance area, a little overdue but needed doing plus some exercise at the same time.
Hopefully in about two and a half hours, I’ll have a warm, fresh baked loaf just crying out for some full fat butter and smoked cod roe. Andy
Just opened the post to find a parking ticket for Christmas day. Parked up for 45 minutes to give the dogs a run. I always assumed bank holidays were free, not so if you are a money grabbing private company. Good will to all men, my arse.
Went to Saltaire and had a mooch around Salts Mill. If you’ve never been it’s worth a visit as the old mill building is fantastic and you get to see lots of art and crafts stuff as well as fantastic home furnishings. Lots of original David Hockney artwork is also exhibited. http://www.saltsmill.org.uk/ There is also a nice antique shop inside which had some rather interesting stuff including two Raleigh Choppers they were selling for £3200 each….not too shabby for something that retailed at £69 when it was originally launched We also had a lovely lunch before then heading to Yeadon to visit some friends (unannounced) for a cuppa and a catch up Today has been rather lovely
Fitted a chinesium fuel cap to Muttley Bit involved...so many plastics, but done and I'm happy....so far
Just the kitchen floor is outstanding, which's double skinned to come up and be replaced with 22mm boarding. Perhaps two or three soft days for this exercise for me.
Finally succumbed to the lurgy on Saturday after living in a plague house this last week. No symptoms at all after three days positive apart from that 2nd redline that says I’m infected. Makes you wonder how many other asymptomatic folks are out there as the only reason I know, is because of having to take the tests last week.
Makes you wonder how accurate LFT tests are. Was claimed at one stage to be only 85% accurate on a positive scale, more likely to give a false positive. Given the sheer numbers of tests, now well over 400,000,000 lot of potential false negatives/ positives. Potentially a lot of people locked down or roaming free based on crude testing. PCR testing is more accurate we are told. That assumes professional handling….. Not some start up company with no experience but an eye for a quick profit. Just an old cynic.
Thanks but like I say, I have zero symptoms at all. Fully aware that some people are still getting it bad but that’s certainly not been the experience in our house.
