I see not which spacer you are referring to in the catalogue extract, but if you mean the conical spacer that fits between the sprocket carrier bearing and the swingarm, yep, I have had enough rear wheels in and out not to get that the wrong way round... As far as I can now tell, it is occuring because the axle is self aligning on the adjuster blocks in the swingarm. AL
Hi Al lt sounds daft but l had a similar issue yonks ago try swapping the adjusters side to side and or upside down it worked for me regards Steve B
Just a thought - If your blocks are the same as Sev's and not parallel (at the working faces of course), it might explain why they are moving around when being tightened. If this is the case and you have access to a lathe with 4 jaw check, it would be worth carefully taking off a smidgen to square up the buggers. This may well be why Steve's solution above worked for him hope this helps
Thanks both...............Yes.....that is the next step...............Although mine don't actually move when being tightened because I jam them to stop them turning / twisting............Its only the right side one that moves back max 15 - 20 thou the first time I ride it after tightening it......once it has moved that amount it stays put......
