Helmet hair - top tip

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by gliddofglood, May 14, 2012.

  1. If you have fine hair (albeit quite a lot of it) one of the inconveniences of biking is that even after a short trip you tend to end up with helmet hair - flattened down and making you look like a bit of a saddo.

Without going to the extremes of gel, I was recommended this product by a barber's and it has been proving brilliant: L'Oréal Super Dust.

It comes in a small little container and is a powder you can put on your bonce either before or after your trip. A bit of the magic power keeps your hair fluffy and is a boon after 30 years of frequent helmet hair. The little plastic bottle weighs nothing and is no great inconvenience should you need to carry it around. Leaves your hair feeling a bit like spending 24 hours at Le Castellet watching the Bol d'Or - as if it's got Mistral-blown sand in it.

Highly recommended - especially from someone who doesn't much like L'Oréal as a brand.

  2. Glid - thanks for this. There must be scores of us who are relieved to hear about this product, having battled on in silence for years with this awful problem. JC749 and I were discussing our hair in the bike park at Stratford only yesterday. He will be delighted to hear about this ;-)

  3. Checks calendar, nope, not April 1st...

  4. Must be because you're worth it! :upyeah:

For some reason, helmet hair becomes less of an issue with each passing year.......
