4 hours out today, saw a bunch of Deer again not so many today as last week. At least no puncture with a long walk out to civilisation.
Today I saw a pair of Herons nest building ( i believe they only tolerate one another for mating and rearing) a muntjac buck, egrets, plus the gypo daggs. Last weekend a I saw a kestrel fucking up a mole....It's bloody dangerous out there...
I only saw a perfectly flattened baby rabbit. It was like an artistic profile, with its ears pricked up and all.
A first for this year... Riding in this morning - mid ride (730 am) I could see a section of a flood meadow outside of the pool of my lights and I couldn't see it last week... Summer is definitely on its way back, it won't be long before I'll see the start of sunrise as I pedal along the prom. A good positive start to the day
Couple of us did a tough 34 off road miler on saturday, was a great ride but tough going. I had a slight notion of grabbing another couple of hours Sunday afternoon.... Couch and radiator won hands down on Sunday, sore legs and aching shoulders told me I'd done enough last week, I enjoyed the laze about to be honest. Back to normal today
It seems to be getting colder, Saturday here was warmer than yesterday. My bike ride yesterday was a little bit of a sufferfest, stopping for a bowl of Chips eaten outside didn’t help matters. Be much colder next to water though.
Saturday 9am and Sherwood Pines car park was already nearly full. Not quite the empty bridleways on the Lincolnshire Wolds that we usually ride. Rode a couple of laps of the "Red" route with some friends. Frosty all the way, no mud! Think I was trying hard enough, my HR was 169 average for just under 2 hours.
I have just done something really silly (not this one) and I only wish somebody had filmed it just to give you all a really good belly laugh. I think I’ve got away with bruised rather than fractured but will know tomorrow morning. Silly Chris.
